About this product
Mirolac LF is a lactose-free infant formula for babies from birth onwards, carrying a unique formulation for the dietary management of diarrhoea, bloating and gas due to lactose intolerance.
Removing the lactose does not mean removing the nutrition. Mirolac LF provides essential nutrients with the daily requirement of protein, vitamins and minerals to promote healthy growth, along with the macro and micronutrients that provide energy and build strong tissues.
It also supplies prebiotics and probiotics, DHA, ARA and choline — beneficial for gut health and for overall healthy growth and development.
Directions for use
Follow the preparation and feeding instructions printed on the pack, using the scoop supplied to measure the powder.
Prepare each feed fresh. Lactose intolerance should be confirmed by a doctor, and your paediatrician can advise how long a lactose-free formula is appropriate for your baby.
Clinical notes
Acute diarrhoea still remains a leading cause of mortality and morbidity in children in developing countries.
Evomed notes that early administration of a lactose-free formula to formula-fed children presenting with acute diarrhoea can result in more rapid relief of acute diarrhoea, and thus perhaps less mortality and morbidity.
